Retirement Supplement 1: Everything is BeautifulSeptember 17, 2009 Hi everybody, Just because I’m retired from blogging doesn’t mean I won’t send anything your way (from time to time). I haven’t gotten my application in the mail yet from AARB (The American Association of Retired Bloggers), so I guess I don’t have to officially hang up the keyboard just yet. Life in retirement can be exciting and new. Speaking of which, if you want a real pick-me-up, please watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xryMJD9TKZQ If things don’t seem brighter and make more sense from a cosmic perspective after you watch that video, then you better watch it a few more times. I was invited last-minute to go see Ray Stevens at the Wayne County Fair last night. I went there mainly because it was free. Sure, I knew him from “The Streak,” but I didn’t realize how talented and diverse his music (and humor) really was. Not bad for a guy who turned 70 earlier this year. If you ever get a chance to go to one of his shows, I highly recommend it. It was very entertaining, even uplifting. And that song link I just shared is a song I haven’t heard in many, many years. In fact, I had totally forgotten about it. I bet you have, too. But if it doesn’t warm your heart, well I don’t know what will. And the video is great, too. Well that’s all from the land of retired bloggers. Everything is beautiful. Have a great weekend, everybody. Mark
